Challenge
This integration required aligning two very different ecosystems. WeChat Pay has strict interaction and visual patterns, while Hipay needed to maintain its own product identity. The challenge was to design a flow that felt native to both platforms without confusing users or violating brand guidelines.
Objective
Design an end-to-end payment flow that is clear, fast, and trustworthy. Ensure the experience feels familiar to WeChat users while staying consistent with Hipay’s interface and design system. Reduce cognitive load and make cross-app payments feel effortless.
Results
The feature was successfully shipped and is now available to all Hipay users. Users can complete cross-platform payments with minimal steps and clear feedback at every stage. The integration expanded Hipay’s real-world payment coverage and enabled smoother transactions for international and WeChat-based users.
